Riley has had a passion for reading and writing for as long as he can remember, starting with being read Dr. Suess books as a small child. He loved the flow, the feeling, the sense of magic, right there on the page that could paint images so vividly. In October of 2019, after experiencing a traumatic fall of about 15 feet while working on a job-site framing new construction and in-between physical therapy appointments, Riley decided that before he swings another hammer, he would publish a book containing his poetry and photography. In December of 2019, Riley self-published his first book, Captures of worldly whispers. In this book, Riley crosses emotions of love and fear with self-acceptance, patience, and balance.
